Language is not just a collection of words stored in dictionaries, and not an arbitrary set of meanings. Language is a way of thinking and reflecting reality, it is a picture of the world that our distant ancestors began to paint and will continue to complete our distant descendants. We also take a direct part in its creation, constantly supplementing and improving the background and plot. Our language picture shows how we see the world. And we see it in Ukrainian. The book "Seeing in Ukrainian" is dedicated to the most important unit of language - the word. It allows us to understand (and quarrel), to convey important (and unimportant) information, to express feelings (and even just think about them). And in general - literally everything started with the word. And what is "everything"? You ask. At least - this book, and at most - human consciousness. And this is not a joke, because there are no jokes in language books.
